Ashley Degraaf

Ashley is the creator of West Coast Moms. She's also a mother to Jack and Audrey and a golden lab and retriever. She works as a family photographer and also fills her time (a lot of time!) volunteering at her son’s school and for his sports groups. When she can sneak in some “me-time” she fills it with either running, yoga, home workouts, reading, listening to music and of course blogging about parenting!

West Coast Moms is an honest parenting blog as well as a "time out" for the contributors who need that break to channel thoughts, opinions, and experiences on parenting. The same goes for the readers too, who are seeking advice, solidarity and a moment to themselves.

We update the blog weekly with a variety of posts from all different stages of childhood, newborns and toddlers to early teens.

Kristy Symes

Kristy is a part-time working, full-time momming, cat rescuing, Bernese Mountain Dog loving mother of two babes and eight chickens. She has a tendency to laugh too hard at her own jokes. She loves her husband, gardening, take-out food and binge-watching the same Netflix shows over and over.

Kristie Sykes

Kristie’s life is a busy life, juggling a five-year-old, three-year-old twins, working as a Kinesiologist at CBI Health Centre and coaching hockey at Shawnigan Lake School... so she decided, “What’s one more thing? Let’s be a writer.”

Sarah Byrne

Sarah is a mom to Isla, Harlow and Rune and wife to Mike. She works full-time as a Registered Nurse and stays busy with work, motherhood, and extracurricular activities. She tries to squeeze in time for herself to focus on health and fitness, which continues to be a work in progress.

Amber Regamey Marsh

Amber enjoys reading and writing in her “off time” from being a wife, mother of two, and Director of Operations for a local company. She and her family love to travel the world, but also spend time exploring the Wild West Coast.

Jess Little

Jessica grew up on B.C.’s West Coast and moved to Vancouver Island in 2012. She is raising two daughters with her husband Ryan on their farm in the Cowichan Valley. Her focus is living with intention and raising kind humans. She spends her days navigating life in all its wonderful chaos.

Jocelyn Lundberg

Jocelyn lives in Lake Cowichan with her partner and stepson and soon they will be welcoming a new addition. She works as a community occupational therapist with adults and children. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, attending music festivals and concerts and spending time with her family and friends.
